My Testimony of Healing

Praise the Lord! He has heard my prayer for mercy. The Lord is my strength and  shield. I trusted him with all my heart. He helped me, so I am happy. I sing songs of praise to him. (Psalms 28:6, 7 ERV)

I have a good report.  God has done a mighty work in my life. I give Him all the glory. My being here today is a testimony that the Lord has revealed His hand and proven Himself once again by healing me.

I had a bad report when I went to the  United States at the end of December  2013 but today I have a good report.The doctors' diagnosis was unfavorable, It was that  I had an aggressive and malignant cancer that was located in the middle of my chest affecting my heart and lungs. It was therefore critical and needed urgent attention.  The report today is that I am cured of cancer.  Hallelujah! Praises be to God most high. 

This was indeed a journey, a test of faith and a trial but with Jesus in the midst I had nothing to fear.  The  scripture that came to mind andwhich I held on to  was that I shall not die but live to declare the works of The Lord. 

After the initial shock and disbelief I had no one else to turn to, all I could do was to depend on Jesus.  Because of this experience I have a better understanding of the Scriptures . It is God's will for us to be in good Heath and sickness is not of God. I appreciate this even more.  When  Jesus  walked on earth,  He went about healing all who were sick, the deaf, dumb, lame and blind.   Whoever was brought to Him.  He healed them, everyone.  He did not ask if they were good or bad. He had compassion and healed everyone.

Well this is the same Jesus, He is the same yesterday, today and forever so I depended on Him.  His word showed me that He just required me to have a little faith, just a little faith as small as a mustard seed and mountains could be moved.  Anything we ask of Him in His will, we  just have to pray believing and it will be done. 

These bible truths are what I held onto and claimed in Jesus' name .  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 KJV).  He bore all our sins, sicknesses and diseases on the cross so we need not bare them.  It is not because of my worth but because of His grace and mercy that He has healed me. 

I was also able to see his blessings and intervention despite the illness.  I counted my blessings.

God prepared the way. 

-My brother in law and sister  living in North Carolina willing opened their home to our entire family so I was able to go there and have a place to stay that was free of cost and it was just 25  minutes away from the treatment center.

- One of the top ten hospitals in the United States admitted and treated me without asking for payment upfront.

- I had my husband by my side encouraging, supporting and praying.

- I left my children at home and had peace of mind knowing they would be cared for by loving family members.

- I had family members nursing me - my mother, sisters, aunts, uncles and other relatives all assisted.

-Hundreds of persons were praying for me including the members of this

church, other persons all over Nevis and different parts of the world.

-I had lots of support 

- I received calls texts, bbs, emails, I even received a bouquet of flowers from Nevis.

-The prayers and encouragement were greatly appreciated.

-The disease in my body responded to the treatment and there was no adverse reaction to the medication.

Prayer really changes outcomes. 

Thank you  for your prayers. I am here because of prayer.  Let us keep on praying collectively and individually.

From this journey I have grown closer to God.  I know my God could have intervened at any stage but He choose to allow me to have this experience.  Be still and know that I am God.  I love Him more dearly, I trust Him even  more,  I rely on Him far greater,  my faith has been significantly increased.

I say boldly  I trust in the Lord with all my  heart; and lean not unto my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge him, and He shall direct my paths.

I give God all the praise, we serve a Risen, glorified Christ,  He loves

us beyond human comprehension. He is indeed our Redeemer and Saviour.
